Job Summary:

The Plumbing Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on small to large projects as required by client documents. This includes reviewing estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy, obtaining pricing for equipment and subcontractors, and preparing a detailed written proposal explaining the scope of work, project clarifications, and any exclusions.



Key Responsibilities:
Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid
Operate and maintain company computerized estimating system
Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct project site inspections to verify conditions affecting the pricing and installation of the project
Prepare estimates for change order work for ongoing projects when requested
Use Quick-pen, TSI, and Revit software to do takeoffs on drawings for plumbing and medical gas systems
Maintain up-to-date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to estimating computer hardware and software

Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in plumbing and medical gas construction systems
Broad understanding of plumbing and medical gas construction systems
Skills in MS Office, Quick-pen, AutoCAD, REVIT, and FTP Sites or willingness to be trained on all of these
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Organized and able to prioritize tasks
Willingness to travel to local job sites
