Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Frontend/UI Developer to join our team at Storm4. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of various applications supporting our cutting-edge vehicle platform.

About the Role: As a Lead Frontend/UI Developer, you will collaborate with top-tier software engineers to deliver value to OEM partners, enabling automakers to enhance their vehicles' features and performance throughout the lifecycle. You will lead the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, monitoring, and support of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Product Lifecycle: Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, monitoring, and support of mission-critical systems.
  • Develop High-Quality Software Applications: Use expertise in various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to develop high-quality, scalable software applications.
  • Design and Develop User Interfaces: Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain sophisticated, efficient user interfaces for web applications.
  • Manage Project Priorities and Deadlines: Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, while demonstrating technical leadership.
  • Architect Front-End Systems: Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems, and contribute to the development of complex web applications.
  • Communicate Complex Information: Communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences through both verbal and written channels.
  • Stay Updated with the Latest Techniques: Stay updated with the latest web application techniques and programming practices.
  • Define Test Cases and Build Test Harnesses: Define test cases and build test harnesses to ensure comprehensive requirement coverage.
  • Mentor Team Members: Mentor team members, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and advocate for automated testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience developing responsive, user-friendly web applications.
  • Team Leadership Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience leading teams of 8-10 members.
  • Technical Leadership Experience: Proven technical leadership, including roles as a UI architect, tech lead, or UI manager on high-impact projects.
  • Web Frontend Frameworks: Strong expertise in web frontend frameworks like React and TypeScript.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, feedback, key decisions, and technical designs to senior engineers and leadership.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Curious, open-minded, and driven to solve complex problems.
  • Self-Starting Ability: Ability to self-start in unstructured environments, taking projects from inception to completion.
  • Programming Fundamentals: Strong programming fundamentals and experience developing data-intensive, responsive user-facing applications.
  • Reusable Code: Demonstrated ability to establish reusable code, libraries, and patterns.
  • Technical Feasibility: Strong understanding of the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a passion for design and beautiful UI.
  • Scalable Front-End Systems: Experience designing scalable and resilient front-end systems.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in cloud environments.
  • Performance Optimization: Strong knowledge of performance optimization techniques for high-performance web applications.
  • GraphQL Experience: Experience with GraphQL.
