Job Summary:

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solid Waste Engineer to join our team in the waste market sector. As a key member of our Private Sector Business Unit, you will be responsible for providing technical support and project delivery to our solid waste clients, both private sector and municipal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a broad spectrum of projects, including studies, environmental investigations, and design for solid waste management and recycling facilities and waste disposal facilities.
  • Provide technical support and project delivery to our solid waste clients, including PFAS and other emerging contaminant regulatory strategies.
  • Apply advanced technical skills and experience to provide innovative solutions to solve environmental problems.
  • Provide senior technical review of documents and attend client project meetings.
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
  • Provide marketing and technical support to project managers and staff during the procurement and execution of key projects.
  • Work with other team members to assure high quality delivery and help expand the business and related services provided out of the Northeast and throughout the U.S.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Science (Civil, Environmental, or related field) required; MS degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience as described above.
  • PE certification required in state of MA or ability to receive reciprocity.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations is required.
  • Excellent technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually essential.
  • Candidate will have strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to work well independently and in team environments.
