We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of medications and supplies.
- Prepare and deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the preparation of intravenous admixtures and accurately label and dispense inpatient unit dose medications.
- Deliver and fill controlled substances and other medications to nursing units' automated medication dispensing cabinets.
- Participate in departmental quality-assurance and safety activities for drug usage, infection control, and handling hazardous materials.
- Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration or 180-day waiver.
- PTCB or ExCPT Certification required within 6 months of start of employment.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Effective oral and written English communication.
- Strong ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs., and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
This is a full-time position with benefits, working 40 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday off.
