Job Responsibilities:
As a Certified Addiction Counselor, you will be part of a non-profit organization that seeks qualified professionals to:
  • Conduct thorough screenings and assessments for clients;
  • Provide both individual and group counseling sessions;
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans;
  • Maintain accurate client records in accordance with regulatory standards;
  • Facilitate relapse prevention and ongoing care services;
  • Offer follow-up support and case management in both residential and outpatient environments.

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a certification or registration from a recognized California institution. We are currently seeking counselors for both male and female programs, with flexible scheduling options available, including evening and nighttime shifts. Prior experience in substance abuse treatment is essential. Opportunities for clinical supervision towards licensure may be provided for AMFT, APCC, and ACSW-level clinicians.

Essential Requirements:
  • Certification or clinical license in substance abuse counseling from an accredited California institution;
  • Experience working with criminal justice populations is required;
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment models and modalities;
  • Knowledge of local community resources is advantageous;
  • Ability to pass a criminal justice security clearance;
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:
Registered counselors can expect a salary range of $24-$26 per hour, while certified counselors may earn between $27-$31 per hour, depending on experience.
