Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Consultant to join our team. As a Behavioral Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing clinical support and guidance to our teams.
Key Responsibilities- Team Consultation: Provide consultation to teams on behavioral matters, including descriptive analyses, functional behavioral assessments, and functional analyses.
- Protocol Development: Develop and implement interim behavioral protocols, behavior intervention plans, and behavior management plans.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Take a lead role in guiding the duties of the Behavioral Support Technician(s) and work collaboratively with teams.
- Student Support: Support students with a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities, including preparing student education plans and designing instruction.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and professionals to develop educational plans and promote students' educational, physical, and social development.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in special education, school psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Standards: Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Training and Certification: Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable, current CPR if applicable, TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable, and current Health certificate.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals, including supervisors, coworkers, clients, via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language required.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency required.
