Position Summary
The People Operations Manager will oversee and guide the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) division, which encompasses recruitment and selection of personnel, payroll management, employee benefits, and adherence to company policies. This role ensures that all organizational policies and legal requirements are consistently applied in matters related to labor, employee relations, and compliance with relevant regulations.
The People Operations Manager will cultivate and nurture a diverse workplace culture. Responsibilities include attracting new talent, collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives, and acting as a liaison between management and employees. Additionally, this role involves managing payroll and benefits, resolving conflicts, and facilitating training and development programs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Recruitment, selection, and job analysis
- Training, talent development, and promoting continuous learning
- Documentation, communication, and maintenance of employee records
- Team-building initiatives and activities
- Diversity and inclusion efforts
- Employee and labor relations (promotions, demotions, terminations, resignations, retention, and turnover)

Essential Duties
- Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex and sensitive issues; may involve executing routine tasks in delicate situations such as reasonable accommodations and investigations.
- Oversee the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for various roles; work with department heads to identify necessary skills and competencies.
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends; research and recommend competitive pay structures to attract and retain top talent.
- Organize and manage annual employee evaluations and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices; regularly review policies to maintain compliance.
- Foster positive employee relations by maintaining open communication channels between staff and management.
- Design and implement learning and development programs that offer growth opportunities for employees.
- Develop and execute communication strategies for new policies and procedures to all employees using various methods including presentations and direct outreach.
- Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Manage and resolve worker's compensation, harassment, and discrimination claims, as well as prepare responses to regulatory charges.
- Provide extensive labor relations support to address employee grievances and ensure consistent application of company policies.
- Advise employees on benefits entitlements under applicable laws.

- SHRM certification is a plus
