Position Overview:

We are looking for a Permanent Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager to play a crucial role in our construction operations, contributing to the effective planning and execution of projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in preconstruction and estimation, with a proven ability to prepare precise estimates and oversee preconstruction activities. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preconstruction process, ensuring comprehensive planning and preparation for all project aspects.
  • Generate detailed cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and additional expenses.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to formulate thorough project plans.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and necessary components of the estimate.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential challenges and devising strategies to address them.
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to collect pricing data and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor project costs, making necessary adjustments to maintain budget compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to management, clients, and stakeholders regarding project progress and expenses.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating this knowledge into your work.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction and estimation within the construction sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and relevant technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy and quality.
  • Familiarity with LEED and other sustainable construction practices is advantageous.
  • Professional certification in estimation or project management is preferred.
