Electro-Mechanical Technician

The Electro-mechanical technician is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and equipment within the plant. The candidate will test and troubleshoot power distribution systems, program VFDs, PLC processors, instrumentation, and other equipment. This position will be on the floor working on equipment, and the candidate will be part of the plant maintenance organization and involved in all projects at the plants.
Key Responsibilities- Test and troubleshoot power distribution systems, program VFDs, PLC processors, instrumentation, and other equipment.
- Assist with instrument calibrations and calibrate PIDs, I/Ps, and other equipment.
- Provide equipment electrical functionality to maintenance and operations employees as needed.
- Review and understand program ladder logic and perform small modifications as needed.
- Responsible for work order execution and completion of electro-mechanical related tasks as assigned.
- Participate in the preventative maintenance plan as assigned.
- Manage and support equipment development and installation independently and as part of a team.
- Responsible for creating, modifying, and editing orders in the SAP system as needed.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Provide timely planning of general work orders.
- Optimize planned maintenance routes (PMs) and work with the Maintenance Manager.
- Optimize predictive maintenance practices.
- Power Distribution systems testing and troubleshooting.
- Programming VFDs and PLC processors.
- Instrumentation setup and programming.
- Reviewing and modifying program ladder logic.
- Work order execution and SAP system usage.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting.
- Electrical component ownership (VFDs, wiring, motors, panels, PLCs).
