Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on concerns with equipment operation, maintenance, and programming
- Disassemble and reassemble machines to examine parts for wear or defects
- Align, adjust, or calibrate equipment according to specifications
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain automated and manual industry machinery and parts
- Communicate with manufacturers to resolve repair issues
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in agricultural or construction management, or equivalent experience/training
- 3-4 years of construction/maintenance experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
- Agricultural swine environment in rural areas
- Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
- Subject to adverse weather conditions
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, and ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours per day
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling
- Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
- Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work individually and as a team
- Must qualify to drive a company vehicle per insurance company requirements
- Occasional overnight travel
