Position Overview:

Wells Fargo is in search of a Lead Compliance Officer to enhance our Consumer Lending Compliance division within Corporate Risk. This role is pivotal in ensuring our compliance programs meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and monitor compliance programs across various business units.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance risk for projects with significant implications.
  • Develop and implement compliance standards to adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Challenge compliance-related decisions and ensure appropriate execution by the Front Line.
  • Formulate corrective action plans in response to regulatory changes.
  • Conduct assessments and present findings to management and relevant committees.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and strengthening risk controls.
  • Exercise independent judgment while understanding compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the resolution of compliance issues and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve compliance objectives.
  • Engage with external regulatory bodies and audit teams on compliance matters.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Compliance or a related field.
Preferred:
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing compliance inquiries across multiple business lines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze unstructured data and address compliance issues effectively.
  • Experience leading initiatives to improve compliance processes.
  • Strong influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of advising management on risk management initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with expectations to work onsite as required. Please note that this role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.
