Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop effective care plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records to ensure timely and effective communication with healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Nursing Diploma from an accredited program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between the State of Texas and another state within 90 days.
  • Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Completes Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire date and maintains credentialing throughout employment.
  • Completes Pediatric Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 90 days of hire date and maintains credentialing throughout employment for Urgent Care Center and Emergency Department.
