Job Summary

NBT Bank is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our computing environment, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and upgrade server operating systems, software, and hardware to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent education and experience in Information Technology.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field, with industry certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of network security, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, and server hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Stationary work with occasional movement of objects up to 10 pounds.
