Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in assisting physical therapists and the clinical team. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in treatment areas, managing equipment and supplies, and delivering outstanding customer service to enhance the clinic's operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of treatment areas and therapy equipment as needed.
  • Ensure linens are laundered, folded, and replaced promptly.
  • Stock treatment tables and modality carts with necessary linens and supplies.
  • Oversee the maintenance of weights and equipment, ensuring proper storage after use.
  • Organize gym areas, waiting rooms, and restrooms, supporting housekeeping as required.
  • Complete and update equipment maintenance logs accurately. Regularly check temperatures of therapy baths for safety.
  • Conduct daily inspections of therapy equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Monitor supply cabinets to maintain adequate inventory for clinicians.
  • Engage with patients in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Direct any medical inquiries to the treating clinician.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other related tasks as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to multitask and assist multiple clinicians simultaneously.
  • Complete all other assigned duties.

Education and Experience: The following qualifications are representative of the skills and abilities required:

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Aide is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A demonstrated interest in the rehabilitation field is essential.
  • Energetic team player with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment is preferred.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements of this position include:

  • Ability to see at various distances and adjust focus as needed.
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Capable of performing typical office activities, including sitting for extended periods.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Fine motor skills for tasks such as typing.
  • Local travel may be necessary.

Work Environment: The characteristics of the work environment include:

  • Primarily an internal office setting.
  • The noise level is generally low.
