Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Aide will assist physical therapists and the clinical team by ensuring treatment areas are sanitized, equipment is maintained, and supplies are stocked, while also delivering outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect treatment areas and therapy equipment as needed.
  • Ensure linens are laundered, folded, and replaced when necessary.
  • Stock treatment tables and modality carts with the required linens and supplies.
  • Maintain weights and other equipment, ensuring proper storage after use.
  • Organize gym areas, waiting rooms, and restrooms, including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming as needed.
  • Accurately complete and update equipment maintenance logs, monitoring safety temperatures for baths.
  • Conduct daily inspections of therapy equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Regularly check supply cabinets to maintain adequate inventory for clinicians.
  • Engage with patients in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Direct any medical inquiries to the treating therapist.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to multitask and assist multiple clinicians simultaneously.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Aide
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Interest in the rehabilitation field
  • Energetic team player
  • Compassionate towards patients
  • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Ability to see at various distances and adjust focus as needed
  • Regular communication with patients and team members
  • Capability to perform standard office tasks, including sitting for extended periods and lifting supplies
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching required
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20-25 pounds
  • Fine motor skills for tasks such as typing
  • Local travel may be necessary
