Position Overview:
As an Automotive Repair Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to prepare vehicles for the scrapping process. This includes draining fluids, deflating tires, and removing components such as airbags, batteries, and EV/Hybrid batteries.
You'll be tasked with extracting salvageable parts according to work orders, which may involve removing doors, hoods, bumpers, interiors, and drivetrains. Some vehicles may require a body cut, and all removed parts must be tagged and organized in accordance with the specified work orders.
Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is competitive and based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently execute the scrap process on vehicles as outlined in work orders.
Conduct the salvage operations for each vehicle in accordance with established protocols.
Break down tires and wheels as necessary.
Utilize various tools and equipment, including saws, drills, grinders, sanders, buffers, plasma cutters, power tools, impact guns, and welding equipment, to dismantle vehicles.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:
Valid driver's license is required.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Familiarity with fabrication processes, including welding and metalworking tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook applications is preferred.
