Position Overview:
As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating loss and pricing study data to identify key loss factors affecting the casualty portfolio. Your role will involve managing substantial loss and early warning data, ensuring accurate inventory maintenance, and delivering summaries as required. You will assess claims coding and annotation, proposing enhancements for improved data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and present detailed reports on limits, underlying policies, premiums, and policy counts as needed.
- Analyze referral and authority trends, and manage renewal lists and pipeline reports as directed.
- Engage in digitization initiatives, consolidating guided underwriting elements, and testing web scraping methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to strategic objectives and manage forms attachment across various systems and portfolio segments.
- Keep a close watch on high-severity portfolios and emerging risks, collaborating with the business analytics team.
- Work in partnership with Home Office Line of Business/Industry Practice Managers, Analytics, Actuaries, Claims, and Corporate Catastrophe teams.
- Oversee assigned casualty projects within the Commercial Insurance sector.
Qualifications:
- Experience in underwriting or data analytics is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of commercial underwriting and principles of the insurance industry.
- Proven expertise in data analytics and project management.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities essential for integrating underwriting strategies and modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with insurance pricing models and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
