Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Global Government Affairs team at Mondelez International.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Vice President of Global Government Affairs and collaborate with other members of the Global Government Affairs team.
  • Develop and execute global workstreams in concert with other team members.
  • Represent Mondelez International and advocate for its interests externally.
Policy and Political Foresight and Insight
  • Partner with colleagues to monitor government rulemaking and determine the impact on Mondelez International of government measures in key policy areas.
  • Track and distill geopolitical developments relevant to Mondelez International's business.
  • Review, summarize, and cascade media reports, government publications, and think tank and trade association briefing papers on policy and political developments.
Advocacy Support and External Engagement
  • Support local Government Affairs teams' priorities and engage with executive officials and legislators from around the world.
  • Partner with other functions to gather and distill information relevant to Mondelez International's policy agenda.
  • Advocate for Mondelez International's interests and Government Affairs priorities in engagements with executive officials and legislators.
  • Participate in trade associations, business coalitions, and professional organizations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Graduate degree in international relations, business, law, economic policy, or sustainability policy.
  • At least 8 years of government and/or government affairs work experience.
  • Knowledge of policy issues relevant to the food industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to distill complex material into simple summaries.
  • Collaborative and proactive work style, good people skills, and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience working with colleagues from diverse cultures.
  • Time-management and priority-setting skills, results-orientation, and attention to detail.
  • Facility with Microsoft Office applications.
