About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our facility services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our clients' floors.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain office spaces, hallways, common areas, and other areas to the highest standards.
  • Move furniture before and after cleaning to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Clean, dust, mop, strip, and wax floors to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan.
  • Measure and dispense chemicals correctly to ensure effective cleaning and safety.
  • Label chemicals correctly to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Clean, maintain, and store equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent damage and ensure efficiency.
  • Keep an inventory of floor areas and schedule cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure timely completion.
  • Report maintenance issues to your supervisor to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Assist with hazardous waste collection as requested by your supervisor.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in floor maintenance is required.
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment, including the M30 and T12 machines, is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
