Job Title: Registered Nurse III

Join the Texas A&M University team as a Registered Nurse III, providing exceptional patient care and services to our students. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, evaluating patients, and providing treatment in accordance with professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, patient evaluations, and treatment in accordance with Professional Nursing Standards.
  • Operate and maintain the clinic, including maintaining inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment.
  • Supervise assigned staff and coordinate specialty clinic referrals in orthopedics, urology, dermatology, otolaryngology, surgery, gynecology, psychiatry, and other specialties.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the CLIA waived laboratory.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested, including serving on committees and participating in departmental and division staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Nursing.
  • Four (4) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, standard nursing procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others, with strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality, use and manage an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Must be licensed by the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse and the license must be unencumbered.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of case management principles and navigating the healthcare system.
  • CPR certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Experience providing patient care in an acute care setting.
  • Experience working in a university student health center.
