Key Responsibilities:

Production / Food Service:
  • Skillfully cuts, trims, and prepares meat for display or as requested by Customers, in accordance with company standards
  • Operates equipment such as electric grinders, saws, knife sharpeners, tenderizers, and slicers
  • Accurately weighs, wraps, and labels product packages for display; rotates products as necessary
  • Ensures proper storage practices by rotating products in the meat cooler
  • Utilizes MCS technology to create production lists and monitor 'reworks'
  • Assists Customers with inquiries regarding products
  • Scans items for production using Telxon technology
  • Provides support in technical areas as required

Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Cleans and sanitizes display cases; operates and maintains equipment properly
  • Adheres to H-E-B food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Follows department SOPs, store operating procedures, and federal/state regulations for fresh meat

Customer Service:
  • Delivers outstanding customer service
  • Responds to customer inquiries about products and assists with selections

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 (mandatory)
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training
  • Completion of power jack training
