* Maintaining an accurate wait list when necessary to ensure efficient seating.
* Welcoming guests upon arrival and bidding farewell as they depart to create a lasting positive experience.
* Greeting guests in a friendly and upbeat manner, with a smile, to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Communicating effectively with all guests, including those with special requests or needs.
* Communicating any issues or concerns to management immediately to ensure prompt resolution.
* Coordinating seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service to guests.
* Occasionally bussing tables to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
* Anticipating the needs of scheduled special parties to ensure a seamless experience.
Host Qualifications:
* At least one year of experience in customer service and/or hosting.
* Fluency in English is required, with additional languages a plus.
* Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties.
* Reading and writing abilities are frequently utilized for recording and reviewing reservations and table assignments.
* Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts is necessary.
* Basic mathematical skills are used frequently for tasks such as calculating tips and managing cash.
* May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
The Host position requires the ability to perform the following:
* Strong attention to detail is essential for ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Handling objects, including food and utensils, products, speaking over and operating phones.
* Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods.
* Ability to stay in one location at either the entrance or exit of the venue for long periods of time and safely/efficiently move about the entire facility.
