Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience in Thornton, Colorado.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Buyer II to be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for our organization. The successful candidate will support qualifying suppliers, evaluate terms, and negotiate pricing for purchased goods and services while improving supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit requests for quotes (RFQs) and generate purchase orders (POs) for tactical and strategic suppliers.
  • Manage supplier delivery schedules and ensure MRP information is current and accurate.
  • Responsible for managing some tactical and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Onboard new suppliers, maintain relationships with, and improve the performance of current suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field (preferred) or Associate's degree or minimum of 4-years' experience in a sourcing and/or purchasing role in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
  • Industry certification such as Institute for Supply Management CPSM (preferred) or Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) CSCP.
  • Highly proficient in utilizing ERP Systems (Global Shop preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and suppliers.
  • Negotiation and moderate contracting skills.
  • Strong PC and MS Office suite skills with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel.
