Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Greenville, SC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Assist and train technicians as needed
  • Provide customer service to daily customers
  • Give feedback to the Service Manager on employee performance
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other certifications as required by location
