Auctioneering Instructor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced auctioneer to join our team as an Auctioneering Instructor at Lenoir Community College.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students the Laws and Rules of North Carolina General Statute 85B and Subchapter 04B, as outlined by the North Carolina Auctioneering License Board. They will also prepare students to pass the North Carolina Auctioneering Licensing certification exam.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a classroom, lab, or shop environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet diverse student needs
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to ensure maximum learning
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • An unencumbered North Carolina Auctioneer License number issued by the N.C. Auctioneering License Board
  • Approval to teach auctioneering classes by the N.C. Auctioneering License Board
  • A minimum of three years experience as an auctioneer
  • An active auctioneer as a business owner or on staff with an approved auction house
  • Licensure and/or certification requirements specific to the teaching discipline and external governing agencies
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent standing and walking to monitor student progress
  • Some light lifting of materials pertaining to lab projects

This is a part-time position, with a salary range of $23.00 - $28.00 hourly. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
