  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic goals, mission, vision, and policies for the Principal Cyber Advisor (PCA).
  • Analyze and oversee the application of cyber policies and practices that affect DON's cyber risk posture, ensuring that updated policies or guidance are developed and published as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Eligibility for federal employment must be established.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • New hires will undergo an E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Compliance with Selective Service registration is required for males born after a certain date.

Qualifications: This position is classified as a Cyberspace Workforce role, requiring advanced proficiency in accordance with DoDM Cyber Workforce Qualification and DON policies. Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment drug test and may be subject to random testing.

Travel Requirements: This role may necessitate travel to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and candidates must be capable of traveling on military and commercial aircraft for extended durations.

Experience: Candidates should possess IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies:

  • Customer Service: Proven ability to assess client needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Oral Communication: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, showcasing your ability to retrieve, compile, and analyze cyber data, as well as develop and implement relevant policies and guidance.

Additional Information: This position is part of the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program, and multiple vacancies may be filled. All qualifications must be met prior to consideration for this role.
