Position Overview:
The Clinical Family Therapist is responsible for delivering therapeutic support to families of patients within the Biobehavioral Health Inpatient Unit (BBHU), throughout their stay.
This role requires a systematic application of expertise in family dynamics, resilience, and adjustment across a variety of psychological conditions and treatment plans.
The Family Therapist operates at an advanced level of clinical practice.Essential Qualifications:
Must possess a valid NYS license (or be eligible) as a Marriage & Family Therapist by the time of appointment. A Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or a related discipline, along with a minimum of three years of post-licensure therapeutic experience, is required. Certification in CPR-BLS must be obtained prior to appointment.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience working with children and adolescents who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, including autism, is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: Daytime hours
