Patient Intake and Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Intake and Communications Representative to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. In this role, you will serve as the liaison between our organization and current and potential patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate physician schedules to ensure efficient and timely appointment scheduling
- Communicate with patients to reschedule appointments as needed
- Utilize assertive communication skills to ensure appointment rescheduling
- Prepare and distribute weekly doctor schedules to medical and surgical offices
- Send information packets and mass mailings to patients and offices as requested
- Ensure accurate documentation in patient records
- Manage incoming and outgoing clinical summaries and referrals
- Ensure referrals are received by doctors or insurance as necessary
- Triage calls to ensure location doctor compliance
- Participate in on-site training and continuous education
- Achieve quality and NPS score requirements
- Comply with all policies and procedures of the organization
Requirements:
- Strong ability to work independently with limited oversight
- Attention to detail and strong phone and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Computer proficiency and minimum of 2 years of medical and/or clinical experience
- High school diploma
