Position Overview: Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS) for a full-time role within our dynamic vascular clinic, equipped with two Office-Based Laboratories (OBL). In this capacity, you will encounter a diverse range of vascular conditions and collaborate closely with our physicians and mid-level providers to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Ensure accurate exam orders and maintain communication with physicians regarding any modifications.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment to facilitate smooth procedures.
  • Utilize advanced cognitive sonographic skills to identify, document, and adjust techniques based on anatomical and pathological findings.
  • Employ independent judgment during sonographic evaluations to distinguish between normal and abnormal results.
  • Analyze ultrasound data, integrate medical histories, and relay findings to the relevant physician.
  • Complete and verify proper billing for examinations.
  • Draft preliminary reports and liaise with external referring physicians as necessary, adhering to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Address and resolve patient care issues as they arise.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain a positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance patient care quality.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology Program preferred.
  • Current Registered Vascular Technologist certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating sonographic equipment, including Mindray DC-8, GE E10, and Parks Physiologic Machine.
  • Familiarity with the Medstreaming reporting system.
  • Competence in performing a variety of vascular exams, including but not limited to: Lower and Upper Arterial Duplex, Lower and Upper Venous Duplex (DVT and Reflux studies), Abdominal Aorta Duplex, Mesenteric Artery Duplex, Renal Artery Duplex, Carotid Duplex, and Hemodialysis Duplex.

Physical Requirements: The role involves moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and requires the ability to stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions.
