Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Art courses at our Montgomery campus. As a member of our faculty team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Art or Studio Art, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Studio Art. They will also have a strong teaching philosophy and a passion for engaging students in the learning process.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching Art courses at a variety of times and locations. They will create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and will submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree in Art or Studio Art, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Studio Art. They must also have a strong teaching philosophy and a passion for engaging students in the learning process.

Applicants must also have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
