Opportunity Summary

The Renewable Energy Operations Manager is a key role that requires a deep understanding of renewable energy operations, from a contractual, technical, and financial perspective. This individual will be responsible for managing customer relationships, operations & maintenance, and financial performance of assigned customer portfolios and renewable assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing the Bay4 financial plan and performing on the budgeted financial model
  • Understanding all aspects of the customer agreement(s) with Bay4 and successfully executing those obligations
  • Maintaining customer and contractual relationships with the portfolio/assets under the Client Manager's responsibility
  • Retention of both customer and contracted facilities, falling under the Client Manager's responsibility
Scope of Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the customer relationship(s), on assigned accounts
  • P&L responsibility for assigned facilities
  • Responsibility for contract renewals
  • Responsibility for the agreed-upon customer facility budget and the execution for assigned assets
  • Understanding customer contractual obligations. Developing a strategy and successfully executing the financial and operational aspects of those obligations
  • Proactively implementing measures to improve customer's facility performance (financial/operational)
  • Managing the customer Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Time and Material (T&M), and Master Service Agreement (MSA) agreements, both financial and contractual
  • Coordinating with NAES Distributed Generation Operations (DGO) to execute on contractual obligations
  • Coordinating with other NAES departments for services as may be requested by the customer (in and out of scope)
  • Other duties as assigned
Working Relationships

The position reports to the Chief Client Officer.

Compensation

The initial compensation will range from $86,400 - $121,000.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in financial and technical renewable asset operation
  • Experience in project/asset management, project controls, scheduling, contracts development and administration, and technical operation
  • NABCEP certification or other component-specific solar certifications helpful
Specific Skills and Knowledge
  • Key skills include energy management concepts, financial analysis, and contract administration
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential
  • Detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service-oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and able to resolve issues within an obligated time frame
  • Ability to coordinate and validate monthly and YTD customer production & maintenance reporting as defined in customer agreements with other departments
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • This is a hybrid/remote position with some travel required
  • Scheduled work times will be Monday through Friday with normal working hours being 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time. These hours may be modified to adjust to the customer portfolio needs. Flexibility, additional hours, and weekends may be required to meet business needs.
