The successful candidate will work closely with clients, management, production teams, and sales personnel, developing solutions tailored for both automotive and consumer goods.

This role requires innovative problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and expertise in ISO/TS systems. Candidates should have a proven history in engineering and leadership, effectively managing projects from inception to delivery.

Some travel may be involved, allowing for direct interaction with clients and stakeholders. Become a crucial part of a thriving metalworking supplier in the automotive and consumer industry, within a dynamic and customer-oriented setting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Automotive and Consumer Clients, Management, Production Teams, and Sales.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to perform comprehensive analyses, ensuring designs are robust, durable, and ready for manufacturing. Collaborate with production for prototypes and final products.
  • Oversee cost management while fostering innovation and quality, establishing clear budgets for projects.
  • Engage with suppliers to select the best components, ensuring our designs meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Lead the prototype development process, managing assembly and testing to bring concepts to fruition.
  • Address field issues by identifying root causes and engineering effective solutions to maintain product performance.
  • Present innovative design concepts confidently during reviews, articulating technical details to diverse audiences.
  • Continuously refine and update drawings and models, integrating feedback to enhance product offerings.
  • Stay informed on technology and industry trends, ensuring our designs remain competitive.
  • Promote our commitment to quality, adhering to the highest standards and procedures that our clients rely on.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with clients in the Automotive and Consumer sectors.
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, supported by a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other widely-used design software, ready to tackle design challenges.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, transforming challenges into opportunities for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of inspiring and informing effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD software (Solid Works) for creating detailed designs for new products and enhancements is a significant advantage.
