Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a vital role in assisting with cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and/or bedside as needed. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and equipment, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to provide a positive experience for patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and/or bedside as needed.
  • Operate medical imaging equipment and assist with data collection and analysis.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experience for patients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging techniques and equipment.
Requirements
  • At least a minimum of a school for Radiologic Technology OR Cardiovascular Technology program completion/graduate.
  • Prefer six (6) months experience within Cardiac Cath Lab performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), but not required.
  • Active license for General Radiographer by the State of Florida and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Radiography (R) is required for graduates of a Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required for graduates of a Cardiovascular Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for all candidates through the American Red Cross (ARC) or the American Heart Association (AHA).
