Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Lawton Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining district personal computers, peripherals, networks, and district websites, as well as assisting in the design and maintenance of individual school web pages and other multimedia software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and maintain software necessary for personal computers and web development.
  • Assist district employees in the use of computers and software, to include Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office Professional, and similar applications.
  • Work effectively with advanced software applications for video production, ID card production, audio and video compression for the web, and postal systems.
  • Install and maintain district administrative personal computers, peripherals, and networks.
  • Coordinate these activities with the district's Instructional Computer Coordinator where instructional and administrative areas overlap.
Requirements
  • High diploma/GED.
  • Experience or vocational training in computer repair.
  • Background in personal computer (PC clone/Apple/Macintosh) hardware, software applications, and networks.
  • Working experience/knowledge of network administrative software such as Microsoft networks.
  • Working experience/knowledge of various computer networking environments, protocols, and topologies such as IPX, TCP/IP, LocalTalk, and Ethernet.
  • Must hold a valid Oklahoma Driver's License with a good driving record.
