Substance Abuse and Mental Health Therapist at Tri-County Human Services

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients referred for substance abuse and mental health services to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Manage client case files and coordinate additional services as needed to ensure seamless care.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions for program participants, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate staff activities as assigned by the Clinical or Program Supervisor, promoting a collaborative team dynamic.
  • Develop and lead group counseling sessions, providing guidance on evidence-based treatment methods and serving as a resource for staff.
  • Represent Tri-County Human Services and consult on treatment strategies with external partners as necessary.

**Requirements:**

  • A Master's Degree in a Human Services field (e.g. Social Work, Clinical Psychology) and at least 1 year of experience in mental health or addictions treatment.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field and certification as an Addictions Professional (CAP) with 5 years of relevant experience may qualify.
