About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Strategic Resources, Inc. as a Healthcare Professional. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a detention center setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including intake screening, physical exams, and treatment of acute problems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary care services.
  • Administer medications, perform laboratory tests, and collect specimens as needed.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency care to stabilize patients.
  • Participate in involuntary, court-ordered care as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a current, full, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state where the duty station is located.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed registered nurse in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting.
  • Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional, Certified Correctional Health Professional - Registered Nurse, or Certified Corrections Nurse credential.
  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of standing, walking, or jogging.
  • The work may require specific physical characteristics and abilities, such as agility and dexterity, visual, and hearing capabilities.
Security Requirements
  • A Preliminary Favorable Fitness Determination must be rendered by the Department of Homeland Security's Personnel Security Unit (PSU) to be considered a qualified candidate.
  • A Complete Favorable Fitness Determination must be rendered by PSU upon completion of initial and subsequent background investigations to meet the requirements of this position.
