About the Role

As a Security Specialist at Target Brands, Inc., you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. This position requires a unique blend of security expertise, customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Sales: Welcome and engage guests and team members at the front of store and on the sales floor, helping guests find products they are looking for in-store and online.
  • Lead Security Culture: Assess and maintain safe and secure standards throughout the store, including exterior property, to prevent theft and shortage.
  • Respond to Incidents: Accurately document security incidents and understand escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe and secure environment.
  • Prevent Theft and Shortage: Perform receipt checks for exposed high-dollar merchandise and submit appropriate documentation in the system for all incidents.
  • Train Team Members: Teach and train team members on merchandise protection and audit execution, as well as operational shortage focus area opportunities.
  • Model Safe Work Practices: Work in a safe manner at all times, identify and correct hazards, and comply with all safety policies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Possess effective communication skills, work both independently and with a team, and manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to climb up and down ladders, apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy, scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
