POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Case Manager is responsible for overseeing the Case Management team and ensuring effective daily operations. This role may also involve managing a limited caseload for Native Hawaiian participants and families affected by human trafficking, conducting outreach efforts, and facilitating community workshops to raise awareness about these critical issues.
EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of the Native Hawaiian community, human trafficking challenges, and available community resources is essential.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of two years and up to four years of relevant experience.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- Two years of experience in human or employment services.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will possess supervisory skills to provide effective administrative and clinical guidance to Case Managers. A deep understanding of human trafficking issues, including victim rights, social barriers, and employment challenges, is crucial. The candidate must demonstrate empathy towards victims' needs and possess cross-cultural communication skills, particularly with limited English speakers. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility in working hours, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are also required. A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle are necessary.
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- This role requires a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, with the ability to transport participants as needed.
- The incumbent must be available for on-call duties 24/7.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
- Successful completion of CPR, CPI, and/or van driving training is required for continued employment.
- Supervisory responsibilities include managing a small team, assigning tasks, and maintaining regular communication with team members and external stakeholders.
