Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' communication needs and develop individualized plans to address these needs.
- Instruction and Intervention: Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with communication disorders, using evidence-based practices and strategies.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication needs.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and provide regular reports to parents and other stakeholders.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Education and Certification: Must meet state certification guidelines for speech/language disorders.
- Experience: Previous experience working with students with communication disorders is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention strategies; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
