Job Summary

The Night Auditor will perform all end of day accounting closing procedures for The Waters Of Minocqua. The Night Auditor will be responsible for balancing all daily transactions and compiling daily financial reports. The Night Auditor will also service guests by welcoming, registering and checking-out guests as well as responding to guest needs during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Ensure that each guest receives excellent service by providing a warm greeting and offering assistance.
  • Nightly Checks: Complete nightly checks within the Property Management System (PMS) according to checklist.
  • Financial Management: Ensure all daily postings are closed, posted, payment collected and in balance; make corrections as necessary.
  • Departmental Reconciliation: Reconciles all department charges and prepares daily reports per department.
  • Preparation for Next Business Day: Prepare PMS system and interfaces for next business day.
  • Security and Reporting: Ensure that property is secured and reports unusual activity to the General Manager.
  • Communication: Answer incoming calls to make reservations, confirmations, and room needs requests.
  • Registration and Information: Answer questions pertaining to hotel services and registration.
  • Guest Assistance: Assist guests with needs, issues, or complaints with empathy and focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Room Assignments and Pre-Arrival Requests: Handle and coordinate room assignments and pre-arrival requests.
  • Knowledge of Property Amenities: Maintain knowledge of the property amenities, service, and local areas.
  • Cashiering Procedures: Settle guest accounts and collect payment. Adhere to all cashiering procedures: opening, securing and balancing out shift till.
  • Front Desk and Lobby Maintenance: Maintain organization and aesthetics of front desk and lobby area.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Creative and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Independence and Supervision: Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision.
Education and Experience
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Education: High school education or equivalent, required.
  • Math Skills and Accounting Knowledge: Must possess general math skills and understanding of general accounting procedures.
  • Customer Service Experience: At least one year of customer service experience, preferred.
  • Point-of-Sale Systems and Hospitality Management Software: Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and/or hospitality management software, preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Night and Weekend Availability: Night and weekend availability.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift. Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance. Must be able to climb stairs occasionally.
Salary

From $15.00/hour, depending on experience.
