AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners, and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States.

As a Legal Analyst I/II, you will be responsible for reviewing and certifying entity documentation related to AgWest loans. This includes reviewing borrower's entity documentation relative to formation, authority to borrow, guarantee, pledge assets, and sign loan documents.

You will analyze organizational entity documentation to identify and material issues that affect enforceability of loan documentation. Additionally, you will work with attorneys in updating entity certification procedures, best practices guidelines, checklists, and related internal-use forms and documents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing borrower's entity documentation
  • Identifying and addressing material issues that affect enforceability of loan documentation
  • Working with attorneys to update entity certification procedures and best practices guidelines
  • Assisting with training credit staff in entity certification procedures

Requirements include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and trusts
  • Understanding of legal requirements for securing loans with real and personal property under real estate law and the UCC
  • Effective interpersonal, collaboration, communication, team building, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications

AgWest Farm Credit offers a competitive salary, bonus at target of 8% of salary, and a hybrid work schedule. This position is eligible for a one-time home office stipend after the initial training period. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 15 vacation days, 15 sick days, 11 holidays, and 3 volunteer days, are also offered.
