Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at OrthoCarolina. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding
- Clean and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring it is in working order and reporting equipment malfunctions to the Radiology Manager or designee
- Log radiological procedures completed, process charges, and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association
- Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background
- Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment
- Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems
- Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor
