Job Description:

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a highly skilled Junior Site/Infrastructure Civil Engineer to contribute to our team's success.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, growth-oriented professional consulting firm, delivering innovative designs for various projects across municipal, industrial, and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Contribution: Support site design, grading, and drainage efforts on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
  • Design Collaboration: Collaborate with civil engineers and design staff to prepare basis of design reports, construction bid plans, specifications, calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Pipeline Hydraulics: Calculate and model pipeline hydraulics for open channel and closed conduits.
  • Technical Deliverables: Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
  • Planning and Permitting: Participate in planning studies, alternatives analysis, and permitting.
  • Field Inspections: Verify performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspections.
  • Site Investigations: Conduct site investigations as needed.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with project teams.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience.
  • Certification: EIT certification preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD C3D, ArcGIS, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, and site/drainage design software.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and other standard computer programs.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $118,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
