Overview

Trilon Group is seeking a Traffic Systems Engineer to enhance our team. We are in search of a skilled signal designer who is eager to contribute and grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various engineering calculations and analyses essential for the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Assist in the development of traffic forecasts, transportation assessments, and planning evaluations utilizing advanced traffic analysis software.
  • Support the lead engineer or project manager in estimating and monitoring project expenses.
  • Coordinate the compilation of data analysis and reports, aiding in the production of engineering designs and specifications.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance in alignment with company and departmental standards, as well as client and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform field assignments, including site evaluations and assessments of properties.
  • Maintain detailed field notes and photographic documentation as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication with clients regarding specific tasks and project updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • E.I. certification in the relevant state.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience in public and private sector projects, preferably within the A/E/C industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Microstation software.
  • Knowledge in developing signal design and signing/pavement marking plans; familiarity with NCDOT design standards is advantageous.
  • Understanding of effective project execution procedures and project management techniques.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and subcontractors.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage deliverables, analytical results, and field documentation.
  • Proficient writing skills for report generation, proposal drafting, and engineering/construction cost estimations.
