Job Overview

New York Imaging is a pioneering diagnostic imaging center seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering precise diagnostic solutions that drive better patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radioactive compounds to patients and perform imaging procedures using advanced radiation-detecting instrumentation.
  • Accomplish computer processing and image enhancement to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reactions during scans, reporting any abnormalities to physicians.
  • Perform complex PET exams and consult with radiologists for appropriate scan procedures.
  • Gain patients' trust by obtaining pertinent history, describing procedures, and addressing questions.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition during procedures and note any specific comments that may indicate the need for additional images.
  • Ensure safety measures are in place to protect patients and operators from radiation exposure.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N).
  • NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT) certification.
  • New York State License.
  • At least 2 years' experience in PET/CT imaging.
