About the Role

Metals USA is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join our team in Wooster, OH. As a leading metals processor/distributor in North America, we provide a wide range of carbon steel products and services to the defense, commercial construction, and road construction and fabrication industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate and retrieve products that have been completed in a first-step process
  • Fulfill orders by packaging and preparing products for shipment
  • Operate plant-specific packaging equipment, including conveyors, stackers, down-enders, and banders to move products
  • Transport items to the warehouse for future shipment
  • Operate an overhead crane and forklift to move products
  • Identify defects and package designated items
  • Perform other duties as related or assigned

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Must have forklift and overhead crane experience
  • Experience working with heavy equipment preferred
