Job Summary

Overview: As a Lead Culinary Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our culinary operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing food program management and culinary functions. This role requires involvement in all aspects of planning, procurement, inventory management, and food preparation, while adhering to client expectations, health regulations, and our high standards for food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and executing the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Support cost management and expenditure control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost management, and presentation.
  • Ability to create and manage production schedules.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, training, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, including Excel.
  • An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
