Position Overview
Join a skilled and dedicated security team that provides essential support across various sectors within BAE Systems USA. This role offers a motivated individual a unique opportunity to engage in a wide array of activities within a leading firm in the defense and aerospace industry. The Security Program Compliance Officer will collaborate closely with security leadership and designated program personnel on all facets of specialized program security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and enforce governmental and corporate security protocols while offering guidance to program staff.
- Maintain effective communication with program managers and liaise with U.S. Government Program Security Officers.
- Provide security support and direction to prime and subcontractors, including the creation and upkeep of security documentation.
- Develop and update program-specific security strategies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Deliver classification guidance to team members, conduct security education and awareness training, and lead security self-assessments and audits.
- Investigate security incidents and support various security disciplines within the program, including Personnel Security, Physical Security, and Information Assurance.
- Be available to respond to after-hours security alarms on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Possession of an active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
Demonstrated expertise in DoD SAP Manuals, ICDs, and TEMPEST regulations.
Ability to apply knowledge of security requirements in complex, multi-level secure environments to ensure compliance.
Strong independent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve unique security challenges with innovative solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on presenting complex information clearly.
Proficient understanding of DoD SAP Manuals and ICD series manuals.
Strong time management and decision-making abilities, with a professional demeanor and effective interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of SAP Orientation and Mid-Level training.
Active Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree.
