Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Irving Independent School District. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining food service equipment to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVACR and HVAC systems
  • Assemble, adjust, inspect, align, and calibrate commercial food preparation equipment
  • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program on all related equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Work closely with outside contractors on major repair jobs
Requirements
  • Three years of commercial food service equipment repair or related experience
  • Valid Texas Class C driver's license and proof of insurability with District insurance carrier
  • Universal Refrigerant Recovery License
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. You will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Regular districtwide travel is required.
