About the Role

Davidson-Davie Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Career Coach to join our team. As a Career Coach, you will play a vital role in helping high school students define their career goals and explore educational opportunities that align with their aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and services to support high school students in defining their career interests and exploring career and educational opportunities.
  • Meet one-on-one with students and families to discuss academic and career goals and develop pathways to achieve them.
  • Collaborate with high school Career Development Coordinators, teachers, counselors, and the Davidson-Davie Career Development Office to facilitate career exploration, job shadowing, internships, and other career activities.
  • Comply with data and maintain records to evaluate and report program objectives and success.
  • Collaborate with community college personnel to provide students and families with information and support regarding college admissions, Career & College Promise pathways, student financial aid, and testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in secondary and/or post-secondary education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience in the community college sector.
  • Experience using various career exploration tools.
  • Experience interpreting labor market information.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish.
